Waterborne Company History

Since 1993, Waterborne Environmental, Inc. has been providing creative solutions to water quality and environmental protection problems throughout the world. With over 25 years of experience in environmental modeling, risk assessment, field studies, and spatial information management, Waterborne’s scientists and engineers provide clients with a unique combination of knowledge and expertise. Our project work has taken place in North America, Europe, Latin America, Asian and Australia.

Waterborne founders W. Martin (Marty) Williams and Patrick (Pat) W. Holden began the company soon after leaving positions with USEPA. The company has grown from a handful of employees to approximately ten times its original size with a stable staff of highly educated and experienced scientists/engineers. Waterborne’s reputation as unbiased scientists helps us establish a scientific basis for discussion between clients and regulatory agencies. Our intimate knowledge of regulatory procedures allows us to anticipate how end products will be received.

Waterborne’s clients are principally large multinational chemical companies who come to us seeking effective and cost-efficient solutions to issues associated with understanding or mitigating potential environmental issues with their products. Our success has been built upon repeat business from many of these clients. Some of Waterborne’s clients have placed hundreds of projects since our inception.

Our reputation has grown over the years and we are considered a world leader in agrochemical fate assessment. A number of our staff have participated on international expert panels and working groups addressing risk assessment methodology.
