Statistical Analysis

Statistics and statistical analyses influence almost every aspect of our projects. For example, environmental fate models are controlled by many parameters that can vary spatially and temporally, and an in-depth knowledge of statistics is critical to the evaluation of these systems.

Example output of CART modeling and analysis.Waterborne invests in the latest statistical analysis packages and continually evaluates new analysis methods in the literature. Our unique analysis methodologies help both our clients and regulatory agencies view project results from new perspectives.

We provide services in all aspects of statistical analysis from simple summary statistics to complex statistical modeling. We have employed classical parametric and non-parametric statistics, distribution analysis, linear and non-linear regression analysis, logistic regression, classification and regression tree analysis (CART), time-series analysis, spatial epidemiological analysis, and geostatistical analysis methods to complete project goals. We also have critical experience with recommended USEPA statistical methods of selection of study units such as GRTS (Generalized Random Tessellation Stratified) survey design. We regularly integrate these methods for all scales of analysis from the individual small watershed or model parameter to national level analyses of hydrologic networks.
