Terrestrial Field Dissipation Studies

Waterborne has experience in conducting and managing hundreds of field dissipation studies. Each study was designed to meet regulatory guidelines such as the USEPA FIFRA Subdivision N Guidelines. These field studies have been conducted using a variety Corn tassels photo courtesy of Huw Williamsof study designs, pesticide application methods (e.g., broadcast, banded, multiple, aerial, and seed treatment), sampling techniques (e.g., soil, water, air, and crop), and crops covering all geographical regions of the United States.

Our extensive experience with a wide variety of sampling techniques has led to find innovative solutions for atypical sampling requirements. We have designed terrestrial field dissipation studies for the following crops:

  • Turf
  • Tomato
  • Cotton
  • Small grain
  • Sugar cane
  • Orchard
  • Rice
  • Corn
  • Tobacco
  • Soybean
  • Other vegetables

Current terrestrial field dissipation study protocols have been designed to meet the NAFTA Guidance Document for Conducting Terrestrial Field Dissipation Studies, 2006External Link. We have extensive experience designing terrestrial field dissipation studies to meet these new guidelines including electronic instrumentation to measure soil moisture.

Field dissipation studies are conducted using contract research cooperators that have passed our detailed prequalification inspection. Waterborne has developed a diverse network of capable field cooperators which enables us to place a study anywhere in North America. We plan to expand our market for these types of studies in the near future.
