Campbell Scientific builds systems for unattended, long-term monitoring of water level and flow. These systems are used in many environments, including wells, dams, streams, weirs, storm-water systems, and water or wastewater treatment plants. They are reliable regardless of salinity level, pollution level or other harsh environmental conditions. Campbell systems can communicate via GOES satellite, licensed-frequency radio, IP cell modems, spread-spectrum radio and other methods.
Cramer Fish Sciences
Waterborne and Cramer Fish Sciences (CFS) have a formal collaborative agreement to perform environmental studies evaluating impacts associated with the use of agricultural chemicals (pesticides and nutrients) on fish habitat and populations. CFS has been a leading consultant on fisheries and endangered species issues in the western US since their founding in 1987. Their team of respected fish biologists, aquatic ecologists and population modelers with offices in Oregon, California, Washington and Idaho, are dedicated to finding practical solutions that balance conflicting uses of our natural resources.
MapTech is a firm of consulting engineers and scientists, whose mission is to promote sustainable societies, both nationally and internationally. MapTech is rooted in the assessment of water resources—including the identification and control of nonpoint source pollution problems. They offer services in environmental modeling and monitoring, software development, GIS applications, environmental data interpretation, specialized laboratory analyses (including Bacterial Source Tracking), as well as research and development efforts aimed at improving methodologies and remediating problems.
National Center for Supercomputing Applications
Waterborne’s partnership with the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at the University of Illnois, Urbana–Champaign, grants us access to some of the most powerful supercomputers in the country. Research communities have been using NCSA resources to perform a variety of tasks, from modeling galactic formation to improving national security. Waterborne plans to harness some of this computing power to accelerate GIS processing and allow large-scale simulations spanning hundreds of thousands of acres. While we have done this sort of work before, the partnership with NCSA allows us to condense what would have taken weeks into just a few days. It also allows further processing and second stage analysis—including larger areas, multiple layers of information and a degree of precision that expands our capabilities substantially.
Quality Associates, Inc.
Quality Associates, Inc. (QAI) serves as Waterborne’s quality assurance unit and oversees our GLP program. QAI provides services and solutions in Quality Assurance & Scientific Support, Information Systems and Archiving. They maintain a broad client base such as federal and state agencies, chemical and manufacturing companies, financial and accounting firms, law firms and medical and research facilities. From QAI’s inception, quality assurance and quality control have been the cornerstone of the company.
Research For Hire, Inc.
Research For Hire (RFH) has been conducting agricultural research since 1983. They operate under Good Laboratory Practices within the requirements of EPA and GLP Standards. The company has an experienced staff of Biologists, Research Assistants, and a Quality Assurance Unit. Waterborne is partnering with RFH to offer the SUPER Research Site, which is located on RFH’s field research farm in Porterville, CA.
Waterborne and ToxStrategies, Inc. have teamed up to provide the solutions our clients need to meet the challenges of the full range of the Endocrine Disruption Screening Program testing orders and weight of evidence assessments. Professionals at ToxStrategies have years of practice in the development and conduct of in-vitro and in-vivo mammalian assays. The collaboration between Waterborne and ToxStrategies offers our clients a comprehensive consulting team for all Tier 1 assays and future Tier 2 testing requirements, as well as other scientifically relevant information and weight of evidence development..
