Senior Environmental Engineer
Isha has been a valuable member of the Waterborne team since 2008, after graduating from Iowa State University with superior academic records and research experience in conducting field trials and modeling for nutrient reduction in feedlot runoff using vegetative filter strips.
Isha is proficient in exposure assessment modeling and environmental risk assessment modeling for plant protection chemicals. Her expertise lies in degradation kinetics assessments and modeling water flow and contaminant fate and transport in surface water and groundwater as related to the agricultural and animal industry. She is also highly experienced in regulatory risk assessments of plant protection chemicals in NAFTA region (US and Canada), Europe and individual member states. Isha is experienced in the use of computer models including PRZM, EXAMS, RIVWQ, SWAT, LEACHP, PEARL, PEST, PELMO, MACRO, VFSMOD, TOXSWA, KINGUI, CAKE, Modelmaker, and APEX. Her other areas of expertise include watershed scale contaminant transport modeling, watershed scale nutrient modeling, watershed characterization, spatial and temporal water quality analysis, data processing and national scale exposure modeling.
Isha has excelled in her role of senior engineer and has taken on managerial responsibility. While directly contributing to projects, she also manages junior level staff on regulatory EU and US modeling exposure projects and degradation kinetics assessments. She has also conducted trainings for environmental fate scientists on FOCUS degradation kinetics.
Isha’s drive stems from her father who was a soil scientist and inspired her to pursue a career in agricultural and environmental science. In 2008 she graduated from Iowa State University with a masters in Agricultural and Civil Engineering. Her expertise lies in modeling water flow and contaminant transport in surface water and runoff as related to the agricultural and animal industry. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, watching sports and working out. She travels when time allows, learning about different cultures, people and religions around the world. Next on her bucket list; attend all four tennis grand slams.
